Lupine Encore…

With all the snow still up in the high country, The mid Level Lupines are saving the day as the Alpine wildflowers have yet to come out this year…

I’ve never seen so much snow and the season so far behind on the 4th of July…

Lupines are back…

After a record breaking snowpack this winter with a very cool spring/early summer the snow has finally begun to recede leaving behind plenty of moisture for the wildflowers such as Lupines to take hold… The high alpine is still covered in snow which will probably set the peak wildflower season up there well into August…

Thanks for viewing my site… Enjoy….

Spring Bloom Lower San Juans

Winter’s grip has finally let go providing Spring with an unusually vibrant bloom in the lowlands of the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.

Good thing because there is still too much snow up in the higher regions to access so getting the beautiful colors down low has helped to make up for that…

I’ve included a few images that reflect this record breaking Winter and the results have been beautiful….
